This is a pretty bad situation?

My parents just recently died, in a terrible accident. I thought i was an only child and always wanted a sibling, when their will was read, they said that i have an older sister that they gave up for adoption and that she was living in california. as one of their dying wishes they wanted me to go to california and find her. I didnt have a number to call her at I just had a name. So i depleted my checking account to go to california to find her, just to find out that she is a terrible human being who is abusive toward her adoptive family and does not want anything to do with me or anybody in the family. i dont blame her for anything but, now im broke, lonely and away from my home in new york. what happens now? what should i do?
