Is it possible to be friends with a Narcissist?

You should follow your .... whatever it is that's telling you she's good. She's trying to express to you that she still needs you for support, but apparently doesn't want to be in a romantic relationship with you. You need to ask her things like, "so how's your... job?parents?brother/sister?pet? anything in her life. Even though you may get a strange look, it's better than doing nothing. And you might have hit the mark with the thing that's concerning her.
