US and British Navy at sea?

My fondest memory of the RN occurred during exercises in the late 80s in Vestfjord, Norway. The aft lookout had barely started the report "Jet aircraft inbound..." when one of their Harriers roared past, just yards to port and actually under the level of the bridge wing, from stern to bow. The XO was on the bridge wing with a full mug of coffee - which went everywhere when the jet flew past. Boy, was the XO pissed, but the rest of us had a good laugh.
